Home / Shop / 2010 Ebata D Madagascar/European
Hiro Ebata, like Michi Matsuda and Mario Beauregard, apprenticed in the shop of the great master Luthier Ervin Somogyi. Hiro is now building from his own shop in Japan and carrying his teachers work proudly within his own. This Ebata D guitar is a fingerstyle Dreadnought modeled on the Somogyi Modified D design. The Madagascar Rosewood and European Spruce body is more curvey than a standard D, so it’s easier to hold when sitting and will also suit player that hold the guitar on the left leg. The deep cutaway provides easy access to the entire fingerboard. The voice is angelic, big and open, a modern fingerstyle guitar in every way. Hiro also includes elegant touches like the fine perflings on every surface including the sides and a perfectly compensated saddle.
