Koa and Engelmann join forces here to create that amazing Goodall Standard tone. This model offers power and wonderful bottom but remains clear and brilliant. Hard Koa and softer Englemann work together for a balanced voice. Being in Hawaii Goodall gets amazing Koa and that wood is becoming more and more valuable. This is a beautiful and inspiring guitar.
This is a "big" sounding guitar. Lots of volume and plenty of tone with nice full bass frequencies that are not muddy at all. This would be an ideal guitar for someone who likes to flatpick and fingerpick. It's labeled "use light gauge strings only" but that's all you'll need. I would think this would make an excellent recording guitar with it's clear midrange and bright trebles that are a result of the koa and engelmann combination. The neck is extremely comfortable.
