James Goodall and company do wondrous things with Maple and Red Cedar. All of the Goodalls we’ve played with that combo have been inspiring. This Parlor is no exception, the voice is huge with quick attack and good amount of both power and fullness. Maple makes for a quick note and the Cedar gives it richness. This is a pairing that really works and is exceptionally good in the small body shape. Beautiful flamed Koa bindings complete the package and make it very elegant.
James Goodall is extremely consistent both in build quality and tonal quality. This little parlor is a beast, very bold tone and lots of energy. It's great fun to play and it is comfortable enough to hold for hours. But you won't long for anything as the voice is very complete: sweet and powerful.
