This may well be the very last G-4 Michael Greenfield ever makes in Brazilian Rosewood. He’s having great difficulty finding high grade Brazilian wide enough for the 17″ bout of his G-4 design. So besides being an amazing Greenfield guitar this may also be a very rare one. The Brazilian here is outstanding, very even grain and color. The Lutz top is amazing, with abundant medullary silking that we’re sure is a big part of the sultry tone of this one. We added DUAL BEVELS, a ribrest bevel to match the armrest bevel, and fit it with a cutaway and a Calton Flight case. This is a guitar you’ll want to protect.
I am blown away by this guitar. It's big and bad but always musical and rich. Many Jumbo size guitars leave me longing for more balance and beauty in the voice, but Michael Greenfield managed to build us a guitar that honestly can do it all. I can't think of anything this guitar won't do extremely well. I've played it strummed hard, flatpicked, fingerpicked sweetly in many styles and it just is startling how great it sounds. The woods are top shelf and the dual bevels make it ergonomic and comfortable to hold.
