Ray Kraut built this beautiful OM under apprenticeship to Ervin Somogyi. He’s been working with Ervin for several years now and blending Ervin’s amazing voicing and stylistic details with his own resulting in fantastic instruments with tons of style. This OM features a body of African Wenge and it has power and bass response far beyond it’s size. The trebles are full and vibrant making this a very versatile instrument that likes the pick as well as fingers. The pickup system is the amazing Trance Audio Amulet stereo unit with preamp and a Sunrise pickup as well. So you can be assured of the best tone possible on stage.
We've known Ray Kraut for some time now as he's been working with Ervin Somogyi. Ray has been immersed in Ervin's world for several years and he has clearly paid attention. Like Mario Beauregard and Michi Matsuda before him he is now embarking into offering his own instruments and the guitar world is better off for it. A few moments playing this guitar and you know it's special. It's an OM but the bass sounds like a Jumbo and and the trebles have that Somogyi style sizzle to them. The details on this guitar are exquisite from the back of the headstock to the side markers, Ray style abounds.
