Somehow he manages the powerful and responsive 000 sound you might expect, but there is a real beauty and musicality to the voice that many traditional 000 guitars lack. We’re sure Marc’s 30 years of experience has a lot to do with it, he certainly knows tone and how to get the most of it from simple wood. This 000 Maingard Guitar is stunning, crafted from premium Brazilian Rosewood and German Spruce, sporting armrest and ribrest bevels, a venetian cutaway and his gorgeous Bird Of Paradise inlay on the headstock. Marvelous in every way.
We are fortunate to see many great instruments, but every Maingard strikes me as the type of guitar I could be very content with for the rest of my days. They embody the entire spectrum of sound from rich bass to clear trebles with greater responsiveness than most guitars. Marc artistic touches are phenomenal and we feel he has the best bevel design by far, comfortable, but not overbearing. The Brazilian here is spectacular and we love it paired with German Spruce.
