Some feel that Martin is making far too many Signature Editions these days, but this is one that works because it’s design is different and has real merit. The Norman Blake Signature Edition incorporates a 000 sized body, slotted headstock, V neck profile, short scale, a 12 Fret neck, a bridge in the sweet spot and braces that are scalloped. All of that adds up to tone, sweet tone… If Martin guitars were priced on tone alone, this would be five times the price. Blake fans read on….
Absolutely wonderful tone. I like everything about this guitar but particularly the combination of the short scale, 12 fret neck and wide spacings. Flatpickers and Fingerpickers alike will just love this box. You get rich fat trebles and snappy Martin bass notes. It's all there in this very lively Martin Norman Blake guitar.
