Here we have a rare find, a 1966 Martin D-35 retopped in 1995 by none other than Wayne Henderson. The D-35 had some of the straight grain dark Brazilian we all long for and Wayne scallop braced a master grade Sitka top as only he can do. This soundboard is just full of medullary rays (silking) and sounds nothing short of amazing. All of this adds up to a ’66 Martin D-35 that we would put up against most any 40s or 50s D-28 on the planet. This guitar roars! The trebles are super strong and clear and the bass pounds your chest. Want the sound everyone dreams? This is it!
