Michi Matsuda steals our heart yet again with this guitar. Madagascar Rosewood figured like a landscape; Swiss Moonspruce on top with interrupted purflings and Abalone, Wenge blocks; delicately carved heel and bridge–these are the marks of a master’s work. Each M1 is a unique offering to the world, and this example from 2020 is a particularly inviting piece. Michi voices this instrument for each register to fit together perfectly like pieces in a jigsaw puzzle, painting a complete portrait that is complex, yet in harmony with itself at the same time. The voice on this M1 is inviting, peaceful, oh so smooth.

I am the lucky owner of one of Michihiro Matsuda's M1 guitars. He is widely considered one of the most artistic and talented Luthiers in the modern era. And this one is a great example with gorgeous Madagascar Rosewood and Moonspruce, one of my favorite woods :-) this guitar can do it all, and I guarantee it will inspire you. 
Michi dials in a voice that feels relaxed and at peace with itself. Something about this guitar just feels easy, organic, and complete.
