Pernambuco is the wood used worldwide for Violin Bows, it’s very hard to find in guitar width. It is extremely resonant with a richness all it’s own. The Martin Simpson Model features his specs including a 1 13/16″ nut and 2 5/16″ string spacing at the saddle. So it’s a fingerstyle player’s dream. His passion for the instrument is unparalleled and it's obvious he's inspired the best from Paul Reed Smith and his Private Stock team. I love Pernambuco for guitar, it's very powerful and responsive. Paired with Adirondack it's very bold and alive. Martin's wider setup will feel great to fingerstyle players and this one is beautifully adorned with elegant Abalone work as well.
