This is the best sounding Model 1 I’ve ever played and the reason is the amazing, dark black Brazilian Rosewood Stefan used for the body. It was one of a few sets he built with in 2001 and 2002 and it’s quite special. The Sobell Model 1 is the sound made famous by fingerstyle virtuoso Martin Simpson, who it just so happens was instrumental in Dream Guitars coming to be. Well I can tell you personally about this fine Sobell guitar because I use to own it. For years we were the exclusive US dealer for Sobell guitar so we sold most everyone that is here. We originally commissioned this guitar for a customer and were blown away by it when we received it in 2002. When I had the chance to purchase it a few years later I immediately did so and kept it in my private collection. So we are thrilled to see it again and offer yet another lucky customer the chance to one what I believe is the best Model 1 I've played to date. The Brazilian is really quite special and don't underestimate what that does to the voice of this guitar. It's been perfectly maintained and plays beautifully.
