This is our first guitar from German luthier Wilm Stotzel, and it is quickly becoming a shop favorite. This is Wilms Zoe Small Jumbo model in German Spruce and Wenge, and it sings out with full round basses and powerful trebles. Wilm attended one of Ervin Somogyi’s voicing classes and the inspiration shows in this build. He achieved a balanced tone here perfectly suited for complex fingerpicking melodies, but versatile enough for light struming and flatpicking as well. This guitar draws the player in and inspires endless playtime, it is a true joy.
We loved this one so much that we teamed up with Al Petteway and recorded it on our latest album: Dream Guitars Volume II Hand Picked. It is Track #4 – When We Were Young.

The voice is huge and fundamental, quite unlike anything else we have in the shop. The only way to experience this one is to come in and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed either. 
I was pleasantly surprised by this guitar. It came highly recommended, but you never know until you see and play a guitar. This one is nearly perfect in every way. It seems to have a bit more tension in the strings and would probably do well in lower tunings. I love the bass response and the mids and highs are nicely balanced across the fingerboard.
