We custom ordered this guitar with Cocobolo Rosewood, German Spruce, a cutaway and a slotted headstock. We are thrilled with the results, it’s not only striking but the tone is warm, rich and punchy. This one is very versatile and easily switches gears from soft and sweet to strong and clear. The Cocobolo is a wonderful set with perfect grain and gorgeous brown color. Being a German builder the German Spruce is of course perfect.
To me consistantly great tone is the sign of a great builder. This guitar has Johannes trademark clarity and sweetness. The addition of the cutaway and slothead give it a great style. The Cocobolo is wonderful, tight grain and lovely brown color, very rich looking and sounding. Another great one from Germany!
