Here we have a fine example of Jeff Traugott‘s large-bodied BK model in Brazilian Rosewood and European Spruce. This beauty is customized with a long, 27″ scale length and a fifteenth-fret body join, which places the bridge in an ideal location on the top, and provides the guitar body with maximum air excursion, and hence, terrific volume and power. This configuration gives the player tons of flexibility in tuning and string choice — it can be used either in standard tuning, alternate tunings (DADGAD for example), or even as a baritone tuned C to c for example. And as with all Traugott guitars, the tone is heavenly, with all the crisp, articulate bass and shimmering highs one expects from the workshop of Jeff Traugott.
It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Jeff Traugott's guitars, and this one really got my attention. I love the longer scale length that can serve double-duty as either a perfect DADGAD instrument capable of accepting a heavier-than-usual string gauge, or a comfortable shorter-scale baritone. Also, the Brazilian Rosewood Jeff used here is absolutely stunning, and combined with the European Spruce top, the results are nothing short of magical. Excellent note articulation and focused power make this guitar a fantastic choice for the guitarist that likes to cover lots of ground. 
This guitar could easily be used as a low tuned guitar or even a Baritone. The scale length gives the player lots of options. As with all Traugott guitars, the tone and playability are beyond compare. | Scale Length | 27 in |
