Dennis Scannell incorporates a number of sophisticated and worthwhile design features into his guitars. The tapered/wedge body shape is something we love, it keeps the bass controlled and in balance on a larger guitar and also greatly enhances comfort. Dual graphite neck reinforcements, along with the truss rod, make for great stability when moving between tunings. On the outside you get precise and beautiful craftsmanship in every detail. The voice of this guitar is warm and very clear and in balance. Ziricote and Redwood combine beautifully to make this a superb fingerstyle guitar and very capable for altered tunings.
This may look like a 'normal' guitar but look closer to find that it has a tapered body a la Manzer, Lucas, etc. This is a real benefit both in comfort and tone. It controls the bass on a bigger guitar and allows the trebles to be clearly expressed in balance with the warm bass. The fretwork is superb and makes this a joy to play. You can bet we'll look for more True North guitars to offer you 
This is the first True North guitar I've had the pleasure of playing. I must say, I'm impressed. It's rich and full and has really great sustain.
