We seldom see a preowned Wingert, let alone one in Brazilian Rosewood and Italian Spruce. This GC from Kathy is an excellent example of her where-does-all-that-sound-come-from guitars. Exquisite woods and details throughout and a lush voice. It also offers a venetian cutaway, gold Gotoh 510 tuners, highly figured Koa trim and a Calton Flight Case (a $900 value).
We respect and admire what Kathy Wingert does. She consistently builds outstanding instruments that are all about serious tone but that are also remarkably beautiful. This Model E Grand Concert has a low string that will make you want to play airs for hours at a time. Kathy has achieved her own bass tone that is full, warm and completely rounded. This one also has lovely clear trebles with just enough overtones to make you want to linger on the sweet notes. The overall projection is excellent and sounds much greater than it's 15" bout might have you believe. The Brazilian set is stunning with lovely purple and reddish hues and the rare Italian Spruce top is textbook. We are thrilled to have this one for you
