We originally custom ordered this all Mahogany resonator after hearing Joseph Striebel’s resos on a recording by own of his professional customers in Germany. We trimmed in Curly Maple trim instead of the typical white Ivoroid for a more beautiful look. We also requested a short 24.9″ scale for easy tension and had him install a McIntyre Feather pickup so it’s ready for stage. The tone is strong with the woody character an all-Mahogany body produces.
There are limited choices for quality resonators so we enlisted one of our fine luthiers from Germany to custom build this one for us. We asked for all-Mahogany with Maple trim and a McIntyre Pickup. This guitar screams for fingerstyle and slide and is setup for easy play for both. This is a serious reso for you bluesmen and blueswomen out there.
