Here we have an absolutely prisitine Varnish Finish MT2V mandolin from Collings. We hardly need to introduce this model, it has already earned it’s amount of respect in the music world. But this one is awesome. The Varnish really allows the most tone and volume to come out and this is a big sounding one. The fit and finish are perfection as we’ve all come to expect from Collings and the burst is to die for.

Impeccably crafted and this one is absolutely like new, not a mark on her. I really like the Varnish finish, it allows for full tone to be realized. Some of my favorite instruments over the years have been Varnish or French Polish. The thinner the better. This one is also stunning, Collings may do the best sunburst on the planet...
I'm very picky about mandolins and this one is among the best I've played. I like the more buttery sound you get from an A model and with the varnish finish, this one is perfect.
