2003 Froggy Bottom H-14 Koa/Koa
Here we have a breathtaking all Koa H-14 Deluxe from Froggy Bottom with some of the most exciting figure you’ve ever seen. The 000 sized H body is powerful, versatile and easy to hold. The Koa is framed by Curly Maple bindings and there is an abalone backstrip and a scrimshaw heelcap with beautiful images of sunflowers.
2006 Kinnaird Mini Jumbo Koa/Engelmann
John Kinnaird pulled out all the stops on this beautiful Mini Jumbo (SJ). For starters there is a stunning set of figured Koa, which is become very hard to find. Then there is the sunburst Engelmann top, cutaway, armrest bevel, abalone top border and lovely inlays. The voice however is my favorite part, it’s full and rich with great Koa sparkle. There is abundant bass which plays beautiful against the rich trebles. This is a versatile guitar that will handle many situations and do so with elegant style.

Stefan Sobell is not currently making any mandolin family instruments due to his large backlog of guitar orders. So these are becoming very hard to find. This is the first we’ve seen in quite a while and it’s a good one. These early mandos from Stefan are loud and clear with his distinct European tone. They excel at Celtic music and this one plays great and is in lovely condition. This particular mando is on the album “First Flight” by Gerald Trimble.

This is one beautiful Turbo model from Paul Daniel McGill. It is crafted from stunning Brazilian Rosewood with naturally striking sapwood accents. The goal of the Turbo bracing is to produce enhanced volume without altering the traditional tone expected from a concert guitar. To this end it combines a 5 fan bracing system with struts running the length of the top that augment power and clarity. The results are outstanding, added power without the tonal alteration that lattice bracing can produce so the full voice of the old growth Brazilian Rosewood and Red Cedar are unimpeded.

Here we have a like new D-41 from Martin Guitars. It is in perfect condition and has a fossil ivory nut and saddle which helps it really sing out. The 41 style includes a top border of abalone as well as Hexagon fret markers. Th body, neck and headstock are all bound as well. This guitar has been played just enough to be opening up and is ready for years of joyful music.
