Description

Andrea Tacchi is perhaps the finest luthier in Italy for concert guitars. This is his Bouchet model crafted in the style of French Luthier Robert Bouchet. Bouchet's guitars were played by notable artists including Julian Bream and the great Presti/Lagoya Duo. The woods are the very finest examples of Brazilian Rosewood and European Spruce. The purflings and rosette are exquisite and again pay homeage to Bouchet's work. This guitar is powerful and clear with the tremendous articulation Tacchi is known for. All of us here are in awe of Andrea Tacchi and what he creates from mere wood and glue.

We recently sold another Tacchi that we thought was amazing but apparently every guitar Andrea Tacchi builds is marvelous because this is another of the most inspiring instruments you'll find anywhere. The first thing you notice is treble strings that fill the room with poignant, round notes. Then you realize the bass is bold but supportive and clear. This is a very balanced instrument over the entire fingerboard. The playability, like the wood, is worldclass. This is a premiere concert guitar of the highest level.

It's not often that I hear a guitar that has everything, sweet round trebles without any muddiness in the bass and plenty of dynamic range as well. A nearly perfect instrument.
