2004 EV Dick Hybrid Indian/European
With the slightly narrower neck and the addition of a cutaway, this is the perfect crossover guitar for steel string players or for classical players with smaller hands or a desire for more comfort. It has lattice bracing and French polish finish adding up to a strong voice with lots of character. This projection is excellent.

Edward V. Dick has been building and repairing stringed instruments since 1975. To date, he has built 300 instruments and repaired over 25,000. Though largely self taught, he spent a year of studying with historical instrument builder Robert Meadow in New York and Japanese tea house builder, Makoto Imoi.”The instruments themselves have been my teacher. By studying them and observing what works and what doesn’t, I learn so much.By repairing them, I really get to see their innards. Musicians, too teach me a lot. They’re a fussy breed, and rightfully so. By listening and responding to their needs, I get to continuously expand my knowledge of the mysteries of wood and sound.”Born and raised in Canada, he worked out of Peterborough and Ottawa, Ontario until 1995. He then moved to Denver, Colorado where he now resides. In addition to his building studio on Pearl Street, he also operates a repair shop in The Olde Town Pickin’ Parlor in Arvada.
