Manuel Reyes was born in Granada in July of 1934. Before making his first guitar he started playing flamenco and restoring them and later led him to build his first guitar by his own. The result was not very satisfying for him so he decided to look for somebody who could teach him how to build. He met the flamenco guitar maker Joaquín Sanchez Galisteo who was willing to teach Reyes. Finally in 1949 Manuel Reyes decided to open his own workshop. The start of a fantastic career as a luthier. Today Manuel Reyes is known for his excellent workmanship and his guitar for the typical Andalusian flamenco sound.
