2012 Andrew White Hybrid, Brazilian Rosewood/German Spruce
From 2012, we have a Blue Burst Andrew White Hybrid model, featuring a German spruce top and some oh-so-sweet Brazilian rosewood for the back and sides. This guitar screams modernity while maintaining a timbre that can take you back in time—a true hybrid in every sense of the word, without sacrificing the qualities of both vintage and modern sound aesthetics.
It has an offset oval soundhole and rosewood appointments throughout, creating a beautifully striking contrast with the Blue Burst top. A truly special and unique piece from Andrew White, and we are thrilled to have it in the shop!

A Classical guitar for the modern-minded player: our 2008 Andrew White Classical. Spruce over Brazilian Rosewood, with a slim nut (1 7/8”) and radiused fretboard, this Andrew White plays handsomely and effortlessly, and the previous owner installed an L.R. Baggs pickup with volume and tone control knobs recessed beneath the lip of the soundhole. An oval soundport in the upper bout keeps you in touch with your tone, and the weight comes in at a trim four pounds, four ounces. This Classical comes to us from 2008, and is one of Andrew’s handbuilt guitars, not production line Andrew White Guitars. Andrew keeps quality, fit and finish, and tone at the forefront with his personal builds, and this Classical is no exception.

This F from Andrew White is good for whatever ails you. A versatile fingerstyle guitar that also holds up well with a pick, has a slick setup for easy fretting, über cool soundholes and circle inlays, and a soundport—what more could you ask for? The 16 1/4” lower bout adds some extra oomph that makes for impressive projection, even when played lightly. This White has a surprisingly dry voice for a Rosewood/Cedar guitar, but we find that it cuts very well through the mix and has a great string balance that makes it so effective for a multitude of genres.
The quest for the one guitar that’s perfect for every style may never come to an end, but this 2008 Andrew White F comes daringly close to versatility paradise.

We’ve got a livewire in the shop today! A 2008 E Model from Andrew White’s personal bench, this guitar combines contemporary aesthetics with tried-and-true tonewood combinations for a fierce, expressive style. Brazilian Rosewood back and sides? Check. Spruce top? Check. Flawless balance and well-defined bass notes, even in lowered tunings? Check. We could go on, but you get the picture: this Andrew White E Model is a firecracker in the hands of any fingerstylist who needs their instrument to handle the rigors of constantly changing tunings, remain responsive and projective under both light and aggressive attacks, and carry them into amplified territory with aplomb. That last requirement this Model E takes care of handily with an onboard K&K Preamp and Pure Mini pickup (running it through our Humphrey amp, for instance, was a mind-altering exposure to dynamic tones).
Tired of projecting all your sweet tunes out via the soundhole and having none for your own ear? Let the upper bout soundport provide a playback hack to keep you in the loop at all times. With trebles that are this fat and tasty, you’re not going to want to miss a note. Lastly, with an Ameritage hardshell case in which to store this Model E, you can rest easy knowing the no harm can come to this fingerstyle cannoneer when it’s out of your hands (which it won’t be for long).

We have a special treat here: an Andrew White F80 in German Spruce and Brazilian Rosewood that was sent to us by none other than Canadian fingerstyle guitarist Craig D’Andrea himself! Could you find a guitar with more sweet tunes played through it? We don’t think so. The tone of this guitar is mature and alive, the trebles are crisp with a well controlled bass presence, perfectly suited to fingerstyle. The wood options used here are top notch, the Brazilian is dark with great grain character and the German Spruce is straight and true. If you are looking for a guitar that will sound excellent plugged in, look no further, this F80 has been equipped with a K&K Trinity pickup system that reproduces an articulate and accurate acoustic sound. This is an exceptional guitar that has been broken in by a master, grab it up while you can!
