Every Calton Case is handcrafted and custom-fit to your instrument.
How are Calton Cases made? By hand and with love. While Calton CNC initial plugs and molds for testing new styles and shapes, once they’ve tested the cases—inside and out—they are made by hand. Without giving away too many secrets, here is how they do it:
- Measurements: we rely on you (and your dealer) for precise measurements of your instruments. This ensures the perfect fit.
- Exterior I: three layers of hand-laid fiberglass build the foundation for the side walls, tops and bottoms of each case.
- Exterior II: once the fiberglass shell is trimmed, up to 97 rivets are used to adhere latches, catch surrounds (leather bumpers), protective feet and a custom leather handle.
- Interior Stage I: gluing of the rubber trim and initial placement of interior fabric, foam and lining.
- Interior Stage II: cutting and assembly of the remaining foam layers and final velvet placement.
- Squeaky Clean: we call this the “detailing” stage where we meticulously polish exteriors and vacuum interiors.
- Final Inspection: every square inch of every case is looked over, making sure it is ready for the road. We add your label (with serial number) and ship!

Calton Case for Dreadnought 14-Fret
Made in Canada Calton Flight case is in very good condition. It has superficial scuffs but is in excellent structural condition. All four hasps operate as intended and each one can be locked with the included key. Includes a detachable carrying strap.
Calton provides top of the line protection for your Dreadnought acoustic guitar, and this pre-owned case is priced much less than a new one.

This insert is perfect to allow a Karura Dreadnought size case to be used for an OM or 000 size guitar.
The insert is intended to be used with a Blue interior Karura Dreadnought case such as the Karura Dreadnought Guitar Carbon Fiber Flight Case – Cocoa Brown/Brown but it will fit any Karura Dreadnought size case if interior color matching is not a concern.
The Martin OM guitar shown in one photo is simply for demonstration of the excellent fit using the insert.

Each Visesnut case features an adjustable support developed and patented worldwide by Visesnut. This includes a built-in support belt, protective padding, and neck support cushion. The built-in support belt is adjustable to embrace and hold securely many different guitar body shapes and sizes, allowing one Visesnut case to give the excellent effect of custom-fitting more than one guitar. The interior padding is lined with a well-selected soft and smooth material. The padding has the ability to memorize shape. Together with the support belt and the neck support cushion, it helps to ensure firm support resulting in the least possible movement of the guitar inside the case. Once the support belt is adjusted to fit a guitar, the size and shape details of the guitar are memorized by the padding material at that time, and the supporting means is always ready to be adjusted for another particular guitar for the next use. The material, however, recovers its shape, if the support belt is readjusted to carry different guitars. The case body has a double-walled structure for enhanced protection.
It is designed to withstand certain stress loads and absorb impact from drops and shocks. The double-walled structure also acts as an insulation that minimizes the effect of sudden temperature changes on the guitar by decelerating the transfer of temperature into the case.
