1988 Ramirez 1A Indian/Cedar
Here we have a wonderful Ramirez 1a from 1988. This instrument is crafted from Indian Rosewood and topped with Red Cedar for that warm and dark Spanish sound. The playability is excellent and the condition is as well. The tone is powerful yet focused, the trebles are huge and fire quickly. The bass is round and warm but not at all muddy. This is a wonderful example of the 1a model.

1980 Ramirez 1A Indian/Cedar
Here’s a classic 1980 Ramirez 1a in Rosewood and Cedar. This guitar comes to us from a pro player and it has matured well in his hands. The top is very active and strong, this guitar is used to performing. The rich, dark spanish sound is very present here in this instrument. The trebles are articulate and round with great projection and the bass supports with power to spare in true Ramirez fashion.

Ramirez 1a Traditional Old Brazilian/Spruce
The Ramirez 1a has all but defined the ‘Spanish Sound’. The 1a designation is proof that top grade materials were used by the top luthiers in the Ramirez shop. This magnificent Ramirez guitar has a spruce top on a straight grained Brazilian Rosewood body and it is full of power and clarity. The Brazilian Rosewood is extremely straight grain, a clear indication of it’s quality. The voice here is big, open and bright.

Ramirez 1a Traditional Brazilian Rosewood/Spruce
Most of us have at one time or another had the chance to play a Ramirez 1a guitar. But if you’ve only ever played older ones you may not realize how wonderful the instruments coming from Calle De La Paz No. 8 in Madrid Spain truly are. Amalia Ramirez personally oversees all construction and approves every professional grade guitar built in the Madrid shop. Here we have a bold Brazilian Rosewood and Spruce top guitar. This guitar has a powerful and beautiful sound and with your help will surely blossom into a Spruce top to be reckoned with. The Brazilian Rosewood is lovely and construction is flawless. 1980 Ramirez 1A Indian/Red Cedar
We were fortunate to acquire this gracefully aged 27 year old. It’s in mint condition for its age, mature and lively but cared for like a friend. We adore the classic Ramirez voice and this one was clearly born in Madrid. This guitar offers rich, bold tone and strong power in every register. The trebles are clear and precise and the bass full and warm, but always remaining clear. A well kept Ramirez ready for a new partner.

2006 Ramirez 1A Brazilian/Red Cedar
We sold this beautiful Ramirez guitar when it was brand-new, and we would remember it fondly. It’s dark and beautiful Brazilian Rosewood and equally stunning cedar top produce a bold Spanish voice that is very lyrical and inspiring. These modern Ramirez guitars played beautifully, with easy action. This one is in excellent condition but for one small repair for which the price is adjusted, making this an affordable opportunity for the premiere Spanish guitar.

2018 Rasmussen R Prototype, Brazilian Rosewood/Italian Spruce
A well-oiled machine. The R model of Lars Rasmussen is small bodied with a 14 1/4” lower bout and sub-four pounds’ build weight, making this guitar exceptionally comfortable in hand. The 25” scale, 16-20” compound radius fretboard, and soft V neck profile make it even moreso. The back and sides are Brazilian Rosewood imported all the way back in 1952, part of Lars’ personal stash, and are here paired with Italian Spruce on top for a great mixture of glassy trebles and a solid, earthy midrange. Gold EVO frets guarantee you won’t need a fret dress for a long time to come, and gold Alessi tuners at the headstock seal the deal with elegance. Built in 2019, this beauty is in excellent condition and setup for effortless playability.

2018 Rasmussen Model O, Brazilian Rosewood/Italian Spruce
We’ve got a special treat of Lars Rasmussen’s in the shop today: a Model O in Brazilian Rosewood and Italian Spruce. Built in 2018 but shining like a freshly minted penny, this Rasmussen is a phenomenal fingerstyle instrument: the voice is that sweet blend between dark, voluminous bass response and smooth trebles. 12 frets to the body and a short scale fretboard make for an imminently playable guitar, and the slim dimensions of Lars’ Model O strike a fine balance between the weight of the neck and the weight of the body—the whole package is a featherweight 3lbs 12oz. Fit and finish are superb, and premium appointments like Brazilian Rosewood bindings and Alessi tuners make this one really stand out. Comes wrapped up in a custom Hoffee flight case.

2018 Rasmussen Model S, Brazilian Rosewood/Italian Spruce
In the Rasmussen family, the Model S stands for Small Dreadnought—plenty of power, engineered for effortless playability. We’ve got here an almost new Model S from 2018 that boasts all of that and more, specifically with some seriously beautiful tonewoods. Premium Brazilian Rosewood makes up the back, sides, bridge, fretboard, rosette, headstock veneer, and bindings (that’s a lot of BRW!), with Italian Spruce on top and a soft V Honduran Mahogany neck with 14 frets to the body. Alessi tuners, Florentine Cutaway, and EVO frets are also included. We love the responsiveness across the registers, and how much dynamism and color Lars has managed to coax out of the trebles in particular. This Rasmussen is equally at home in Standard or DADGAD.

2023 Urlacher Concert, Claro Walnut/Tunnel 14 Redwood
Custom made for our very own Dustin Furlow, this 2023 Concert model from Rebecca Urlacher could be yours. It features Tunnel 14 Redwood on top and outrageously figured Claro Walnut for the back and sides. The fingerboard, bridge, and bindings are crafted from exquisite Brazilian Rosewood. A soundport adds a bit more ‘you’ in the monitor, with a full neck profile and extra-wide spacing at both the nut (1 25/32″) and bridge (2 5/16″). All wrapped up in a Visesnut flight case.

A brand new (2024) Urlacher Concert Cutaway, crafted from remarkable fiddleback mahogany and German spruce. With comfort bevels, a sound port, and some incredible craftsmanship at work, this guitar is a true masterpiece. The rosette and headplate inlay feature a Charles Rennie Mackintosh-inspired check design. The guitar offers a comfortable feel and an expansive sound. 1996 Redgate Classical, Brazilian Rosewood/Cedar
Here we’ve landed a wide awake and expressive Redgate from 1996! Brazilian Rosewood body (with arched back) and Cedar top, lattice braced, 650mm scale, and the play marks to show for hundreds of hours of play time. The voice is expressive and clear, and the setup is extra dial-in-able with the inclusion of an adjustable truss rod. Slightly slender neck profile with a flattened U shape; original hardshell case plus case cover.
