Brand New Altman F5LS, Maple/Adirondack Spruce
Altman just dropped off this brand new MF5 LS (Lloyd Series). Red Spruce top over Figured Maple body (ditto for the neck), all finished in varnish for a velvety, hand-rubbed feel in hand. 1 3/32″ nut and a hard V profile makes for an easy and familiar experience for the left hand. Setup is also easy peasy. We got our own Drew Matulich to put it through its paces, and we’re sure glad we did–he let’s this Altman MF5LS sing out! Give us a shout if you want to learn more or take it out for a spin yourself.

$17,630 Add to cartScale Length 13.875 in Nut Width 1.1 in String Spacing 1.5 in Woods Spruce - Adirondack (Red), Maple 1998 Deering Gabriella, Brazilian Rosewood
What a truly rare treat for us here at Dream Guitars—we have a 1998 Deering Gabriella in Brazilian Rosewood. We’ve had only two other Gabriellas (at the time of publication) in the shop, and they’re truly as rare as hen’s teeth.
Mother-of-pearl fingerboard, 24k gold plating on the rim and flange, carved Brazilian Rosewood neck, abalone trim—this is about as fancy and classy as a banjo can get.
But don’t be fooled—this isn’t all aesthetic exclusivity. Brazilian Rosewood on the resonator (over laminated maple) gives this banjo a unique timbre in the banjo world, complemented by the glassy quality of the fingerboard. This banjo looks slick and sounds full, with excellent bite and a round bass.
It’s also equipped with Keith-style tuners on the G and B strings, so whatever banjo wizardry you may require, it will deliver.
The original bridge was replaced with a Moon bridge, which frankly looks amazing on this banjo—but sounds even better. That might be the mantra for this five-string ripple machine: it looks amazing, but sounds even better.
Please have a look and listen for yourself!

$7,800 Add to cartScale Length 26.5 in Nut Width 1.125 in String Spacing Standard in Woods Skin - Fiber, Maple 1975 Henderson Banjo #5
We’re already very familiar with Wayne Henderson’s flattops—and we love them dearly. We’ve been fortunate enough to have seen a great number pass through our hands, but until today we’ve never seen what Wayne can do with a Bluegrass Banjo. This Mastertone-inspired wonder was built all the way back in 1975 with gold etched hardware, Maple resonator, and tight flamed Maple neck. This is #5 of only 19 banjos that Wayne has built to date, each unique, and this is one of only two with “Henderson” inlaid at the headstock. Long scale setup at 27” and 1 3/16” nut; a hefty 10lbs 13oz; broken in and opened up tone.
