How do you make an even better Collings 00, by adding a German Spruce top and a gorgeous Sunburst! We just love this guitar, it’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing; sure it looks innocent enough but it has quite a bite. This is strong 00 from Collings with a lot of power and projection. The bass response sounds like an OM and the trebles are clear and rich. The 12 fret neck makes it easy to hold. It’s absolutely like new with a perfect setup that’s sure to please.

The Collings 01A has become extremely popular with players seeking a small body guitar with the power and punch that Collings Guitars are known for. This beautiful little beast also sports and Adirondack top for even more power and clarity as well the vintage now neck and a vintage sunburst all of which makes this a very dreamy Collings guitar. It really packs a punch and loves to play the blues, but it’s voice is strong enough to also delve into Celtic, Traditional, Rags and just about anything you wish to throw at it. Songwriters will love it as well.

Here we have a very strong SJ from Kent Hamblin crafted in Cocobolo Rosewood which provides a big push of rich power. It’s topped with Cedar for added warmth and outfitted with a cutaway and naturally beautiful wood appointments. There are curly Maple bindings from top to bottom, a spalted rosette and a K&K pickup. This guitar was owned by recording artist Jim Tozier and seems to have matured nicely under his fingers, it’s wide open and alive. It has a driving sound that we really like and can also be polite and beautiful when asked..

The Froggy Bottom Deluxe models always have some lovely touches. This K model is crafted from highly figured Walnut and adorned with a unique rosette and backstrip as well as a Scrimshaw heelcap. The top is a fine piece of Adirondack Spruce and this guitar is in mint condition. The tone is very strong with lots of projection, the Walnut gives it a naturally woody characteristic and the Adirondack top lends it’s brilliant highs and headroom to spare. This is a very unusual and beautiful Froggy Bottom K guitar.

As a dealer we get just 2 or 3 of Marc’s guitars a year and they typically sell before they arrive. So we are always happy to find a preowned example. This one may as well be new, it is absolutely dead mint and features terrific tone woods. With its figured mahogany back & sides and wide grain Adirondack it has excellent bass response to go with its great clarity.
