This 2011 Paul Beard E Model is a custom build that we commissioned for one of our long time clients a few years back. It is now returning to our flock for a time and we couldn’t be happier to see it here again. It has been treated extremely well since we last hosted it and remains is in true Mint condition.

From the tasteful 12th fret inlay to the unique crescent moon style cover plate and hypnotic Brazilian Rosewood laminate back and sides, this one is made to get people’s attention even before you start to play. But once it’s in your hands and you start grooving away, the sweet singing 12 fret body will dazzle you and your spectators equally. For those worried that twelve frets aren’t enough, this one conveniently comes with an elegant Venetian cutaway that makes hitting the high notes as easy as breathing. With the Odyssey, Paul Beard has once again raised the bar for what a resonator can sound like. This is one of the first few available anywhere in the country — the first run was snatched up by Vince Gill and other Nashville A-listers.

We custom ordered this amazing version of Paul Beard newest model, The Odyssey. The Camphor Burl back and sides have to be seen to be believed; the natural patterns in the wood are stunning and deep and hypnotically kaleidoscopic, but looks are only a part of it. The sound of these guitars has been described as “huge.” This fine instrument has great bass content, rich, full satisfying volume, and just the right amount of bluesy snarl thanks to the “Legend Tone” polished cone and oval soundhole. The playability of this resonator is perfect in every way. A Fishman Spider pickup and Aura imaging pedal are also included.

Here we have a rare ’roundneck’ Model R from Paul Beard Guitars. This guitar is not only versatile for the blues/rag player/slide player, but it is now a rare find. Beard no longer makes the “round-neck” version of the Model R – he only makes the square-neck version. We love the twang the all-mahogany body and spider cone configuration provides. This one is setup perfectly for fingerstyle or slide it plays with ease. This one is complete with a Fishman Pickup system so you’re ready for the stage.

Paul Beard is well known for making top quality resonator instruments as well as providing cones for other makers and the after market. His model R is an all-Mahogany spider cone design that’s powerful and resonant. This one is a screamer and its roundneck makes it suitable for bottleneck style slide and fingerstyle. This one is like new, our highest condition rating.
