2015 PRS Private Stock Hollowbody 1 JK, Mahogany/Maple
This 2015 PRS Hollowbody I is no ordinary build—it was crafted in direct collaboration with master luthier Jason Kostal, a former apprentice of Ervin Somogyi and a towering figure in modern acoustic guitar making. Designed to Jason’s personal spec, and with custom inlay work developed alongside Aulsen Inlay, this instrument reflects the fusion of high-end electric craftsmanship and luthier-level detail.
Built around a fully hollow body with no center block, it features a striking Curly Maple top and matching Curly Mahogany back, paired with a Curly Maple neck carved to PRS’s classic Wide-Fat profile—chunky, supportive, and articulate. The fretboard and headstock veneer are cut from dark Ebony, punctuated with the iconic PRS bird inlays, executed with custom flair through the Kostal x Aulsen partnership.
Under the hood, a matched set of PRS 57/08 pickups offers vintage-voiced warmth and clarity, delivering everything from jazzy cleans to punchy midrange growl. The adjustable stoptail bridge ensures stable intonation and sustain, while hybrid hardware adds a modern, two-tone edge. Finished in a luscious Violin high-gloss nitrocellulose, this guitar resonates with elegance—visually and tonally.

We just took on a good looker today, friends. This Thinline from Tom Ribbecke hails from 2003, features a semi-hollow Mahogany body and Figured Maple top, Mahogany neck plus wide nut, and a Humbucker-Single-Coil-Humbucker pickup arrangement. Weighing in about eight pounds, this Ribbecke has some heft to it, and some sweet sustain as a result. If you’re looking for a wider-spec’d fingerboard, look no further! 2006 Ruokangas Mojo Grande, Spanish Cedar/Arctic Birch
A first for us here at Dream Guitars: a 2006 Ruokangas Mojo Grande. All the way from Finland, this Thinline Tele-style guitar is crafted from some rather unique tonewoods. The body is made of Spanish cedar, with a figured Arctic birch top. It features a maple neck and birch fingerboard, both of which, along with the top, have been thermally treated—literally baking in that vintage tone.

It features a custom-made DeArmond-style single-coil pickup, along with a floating pickguard equipped with volume and tone controls. This archtop also boasts a soundport and an arm bevel for added comfort. Sleek design, outstanding tone, and comfort for days. Comes wrapped up in a Hoffee case.

Brand New TreeHouse Blue Ember, Maple/Adirondack Spruce
A first for us here at the shop from Zach Lefebvre, a brand new TreeHouse Blue Ember. It’s rare to find such unique instruments, where form certainly follows function so well. A whole lot of tone, and even more character. The back and sides’ hue harkens back to custom Stratocasters of the late 50s and early 60s, with an incredibly visually pleasing stain on top. The single coil tone combined with its acoustic resonance makes for an intriguing and fantastic musical experience. Maple for the back and sides, Adirondack Spruce on top.

It’s no surprise to us that this example from Kim, albeit uncommon, is just as incredible as his renowned flattop work. Seymour Duncan humbucker, floating pickguard, and all the features you expect from a top-tier archtop are delivered here by the one and only Kim Walker. Curly Maple back and sides, Sitka Spruce top. 2015 Maegen Wells 15″ Archtop, Maple Back/Koa Sides, Sitka Top
2015 15″ Archtop from Maegen Wells, sporting a Bartolini Johnny Smith humbucker, Ebony and Koa appointments throughout, and a custom bone inlay on the headstock by Will Hylton. Finished in Nitrocellulose Lacquer with a Dark Orange Cherry Burst stain. Aluminum Tubing side dots—this guitar is as much fun to look upon as it is to play, and it certainly is fun to play. The top is Sitka Spruce, the back is Big Leaf Maple, and the sides are Figured Koa. A very uncommon yet radically cool feature set on this instrument. The voice is complex, yet surprisingly applicable to just about any musical situation.

2015 Alembic Further FLG6, Purpleheart/Buckeye
Further, indeed. The team at Alembic has been pushing the envelope for years, and that sterling reputation for innovation has led to a community of ardent fans of both basses and electrics. We recently landed one of their Further models from 2015, and we get what all the fuss is about: this is a well-oiled machine capable of handling, well, anything. Purpleheart body with Buckeye top and back laminates; through neck; chrome hardware; and heaps of electronics. The team outfitted this one with volume, three pickup selectors, three filters, effects loop, effects loop bypass, LED position markers—the works. Whew! The through neck is a laminate of Flame Maple, Purpleheart, and Cherry, and is such a strikingly gorgeous number with silky play feel to boot. The fit and finish is flawless from tuners to tail, and we find ourselves struggling to put it down for any real length of time. Weighs in at eight pounds for a solid heft that won’t bow your shoulders: the Alembic Further is the complete package.

2016 Tom Anderson Drop Top Classic, Alder/Quilted Maple
From Dream Guitars-owner Paul Heumiller’s personal collection, we’ve got a dynamite Tom Anderson electric in Alder & Quilted Maple. This Drop Top Classic comes to us from 2016 and is in gorgeous shape, with Anderson’s “chocolate Maple” neck, TF1-SF1-TF3 pickups, split shaft tuners, and ohsc straight from Tom. 25.5” scale makes for a crisp and quick attack, and Tom’s neck carve and setup play like butter.
