Bruce and Matt at Petros Guitars really have a way with Ebony bodied instruments. This wood is well suited for their designs and brings rich life to the voice. We asked Marc for something a little different and created this amazing instrument for us. This guitar commands attention with its bookmatched Brazilian Rosewood Fingerboard, Brazilian Bridge and custom handcut rosette. The body is crafted of the most striking set of Brazilian Rosewood with dramatic sapwood in the center and rich, reddish-brown hues and embellished with armrest and ribrest bevels. There’s also a custom heelcap and red perfling lines throughout the guitar. It is indeed striking, but in a very natural way that let’s the beauty of the wood speak. The tone is all Maingard. The Model R is Jeff’s most popular, no doubt this is due to the incredible balance and pure voice. Jeff has a real eye for selecting stunning, top grade woods and this guitar has an amazing Brazilian Rosewood body and a stunning Master Grade German Top that has a lovely patina and abundant silking. This one is like new and features a wider 2 3/8″ string spacing at the saddle for those players that like extra room for the right hand. It also includes the trademark Honey Beige Calton Flight Case. The Mahogany and Red Spruce dreadnought is a sound we all know and love. This combination has been used on powerhouse guitars since the introduction of the famous D-18. Dana Bourgeois has been adding his special voicing to Adirondack tops for years and knows how to pull out the tone. This Georgia Dreadnought has a very even grain on the top all the way across. It’s been played just enough to be coming alive and it’s a strong one.

Short scale, 12 fret neck, Adirondack top, wide nut & saddle, all that adds up to a very playable guitar with a sweet and powerful voice.
