One of the most traditional of the Gretsch line, The 1955 Country Club 6193 was the first to sport the cutout G Tailpiece and it was also the first year for the Cadillac Green color. The tone of the DeArmond Dynasonic pickups on this guitar is amazing. The condition is excellent as is the playability, this is so much fun it should be illegal. We love it!

Bob Taylor started his career as a solo guitar builder much like the many great builders of today. Anyone who’s played one of those early Taylors knows how different they are from the Taylor Factory guitars, more open, alive and complex in tone. The R. Taylor shop was setup to be a smaller shop approach to building, offering custom guitars. 5 Luthiers work in the shop and build instruments like this Cocobolo and Adirondack Style 1. This is a modified Dreadnought shape that can handle strumming, flatpicking and fingerstyle and do it all well. The tonewoods are beautiful and so is the resulting voice. This Style 1 R. Taylor guitar is in perfect, like-new condition.

This dazzling Ryan Nightingale was custom ordered with rare African Blackwood, Swiss Spruce and is gilded with elegant touches of Abalone. The custom trim work included a luscious border of Abalone on the fingerboard that even follows the curve of the custom fingerboard terminus. But look close and you’ll see it’s actually 3 pieces of Abalone, not one and it’s magnificent. The same trim adorns the headstock and surrounds the stunning truss cover that is itself bordered in Abalone with a MOP/Abalone design in the center. The 12th fret showcases another custom inlay crafted from 8 separate pieces of shell. The top is also trimmed in Abalone and the Blackwood body is bound in Ebony for wonderful continuity. The tone is majestic and complete with high-end shimmer, thunderous bass and the haunting midrange that only African Blackwood produces. This is truly unique and mesmerizing Ryan Guitar.

The wider spacing suits fingerstyle very well and the cutaway let’s you get up into the mandolin zone. A pretty one with a lush voice.
