Here we have an exquisite Antonio Marin Montero guitar that is mature enough to be open and fully alive. The body, crafted from Brazilian Rosewood and Spruce, offers up a sublime voice that is perfect for the player that demand expression and emotion from their instrument. This wonderful example from one of Spain’s finest makers will be the pride and joy of some lucky player.

Here is a custom Tippin Crescendo with Brazilian Rosewood and Carpathian Spruce. It is adorned with Curly Maple bindings and purflings. The tone of this guitar is solid, vibrant and rich, with thick, meaty trebles that seem to guide your hand of their own accord. Supported by a foundation of strong, articulate basses and mids, this guitar is a veritable tone machine. Subtle, yet tasteful artistic accents like the half diamond inlay at the nut an Bill’s famous heel design make for fine compliments to the elegant, all wood aesthetic. It’s no wonder both Al Petteway and Paul Heumiller own Tippin guitars. They inspire.

Here we have a Lance McCollum Baritone in premium Brazilian Rosewood and German Spruce. A combination proven time and time again by many Luthiers to be sublime. Lance bound this beauty with Flamed Koa and adorned the tight grained top with a custom Rosette. Though we lost Lance a few years back his reputation as one of the premiere builders for Baritone guitar lives on. He made over 30, far more than most builders do in a lifetime. They are special!

This is an incredible work of art by guitar maker Grit Laskin of Canada. Like all Laskins this is a one-of-a-kind custom guitar. The inlay artwork here is a wondrous thing called ‘Haply I Think On Thee’ which is a theme of linked images examining the life and writings and primary supporters of William Shakespeare. Grit employed a vast array of inlay materials to create a colorful and intriguing design. The body of this midsize steel string guitar is crafted from a superior set of Brazilian Rosewood and a master grade Sitka spruce top. There is also a soundport and front and back bevels making this a guitar easy to hold, amazing sounding, and as beautiful as they come. Here we have a Chris Bozung Custom OM in figured Mahogany with a Red Cedar top. The figured Mahogany with a it’s deep red sunburst blends beautifully with the Mahogany for a vintage beauty. This OM guitar is equally adept at beautiful pieces as it is powerful bluesy repertoire. Don’t let the Cedar top for you, this guitar has power and head room. It is a versatile instrument that compliment others you may have.

Brian Applegate is a wonderful maker of a variety of styles of guitars. Well known for his extraordinary finger style guitar’, this time he has built for us an incredible Gypsy Jazz box. The body is crafted from gorgeous Bocote wood and topped with European Spruce for power,clarity and an energetic attack. This guitar is the perfect tool for the gypsy jazz guitarist, notes fire from the top like a gun and it has a voice that will cut through the mix. The neck is slender and very fast. Give this one a try, we think it will blow you away.

Bernie Lehmann’s model 2000 designs with their vaulted backs are not only breathtakingly beautiful, but they really work for the good of the tone. This design allows the back to go unbraced so the guitar is very light and responsive. Here on this short scale (630mm) Nylon string Classical 2000 model, you get a fast attack and a full note from every string. The unique cutaway offers a wonderful modern touch to this otherwise ‘yesteryear’ looking guitar. The real Ivory appointments are from salvaged Piano Keys, from one musical instrument to another.

This is a lovely Concert guitar by Marcus Dominelli of Canada. It features a Rosewood body topped with a latticed-braced Queen Charlotte Island Cedar. It is bound in figured Koa wood and fitted with Graf handmade tuners that are incredible. It also has the optional raised fingerboard design which Dominelli is known for. This is a very easy to play and wonderful sounding classical guitar. The voice is robust, yet clear. Perfect for the player seeking a traditional voice.

Here’s a custom, one-of-a-kind Byrdland style Archtop guitar from Jim and Ryan Triggs. The singlecustom Fralin Howard Roberts pickup, finished in gold, shines like the sun from the center of the stunning dark Sunburst Spruce top. The back is an exquisite piece of Maple and this guitar is voiced to be expressive, it vibrates in your hands. The setup and playability are world-class and sure to please the finest players. Here’s a ‘vintage’ Traphagen Concert guitar from 1991. Crafted from Brazilian Rosewood and Cedar for a traditional voice. Dake has become one of the highly sought after american makers, so here is a chance at one of his pieces at a player’s price point. due to this guitar having some wear from years of play. The playability and tone are superb, the top is very open, benefitting from it’s years of play. It is a long 660 scale for great power and projection. There is also a pin bridge which further aids in the clarity and separation this guitar demonstrates. If you are after tone at a great value, this is your guitar.

Here is a dazzling de Jonge SS model featuring a bearclaw German Spruce top over Brazilian Rosewood. Serge de Jonge has not only been building for decades but has taught many fine makers as well. This de Jonge SS guitar has a strong, focused voice with superb projection. Very balanced and strong. Great for fingerstyle or flatpick.

Here is a custom Scott Conley Appalachian Dreadnought built for Ed Dodson. This classic Dread was built to match pre-war D-18 specs but shot with a Gibsonesque sunburst and adorned with a fire stripe pickguard. It has a wider 1 /34 nut, advanced bracing and a metal T bar in neck just like the classic prewar Martins. The tone is big and strong, this is a great bluesgrass guitar with pedigree. Ed Dodson used it as his main guitar for some time, but don’t worry he left a lot of mojo in it.

Tony McManus is a great friend of our shop and one of the finest fingerstyle guitar players on the planet. When Tony gets behind a guitar you know it’s something special. Here we have the first preowned PRS Private Stock Angelus that we’ve seen and it is the Tony McManus Signature model to boot. Gorgeous Cocobolo Rosewood with an Adirondack top for a great combination of power and beauty. PRS necks are superb with some of the best playability around. This is a rare and lovely Private Stock Tony McManus model from Paul Reed Smith.

Here is a 1988 Martin D-18 guitar. This one is in virtually unplayed condition ready for someone to play a lot of music on. The action and playability are terrific and the Mahogany and Adirondack body produces the classic Martin dreadnought sound.

Collings makes a wonderful OM guitar, as evidenced by the many big names that play their instruments. Just a few minutes on this Collings OM-2H and you can understand the passion. These guitars have an authentic vintage voice, great headroom and the build quality is superb. This 1999 Collings OM-2H has been well loved and is in excellent condition but more open and lovely sounding than even a new one. Nothing like music pumped through a guitar to enliven the voice. This one is great.

Here’s a pristine Goodall Grand Concert in Mahogany and Engelmann Spruce. This wood combination is wonderful, it’s big and strong, but warm with superb clarity. After Paul recorded this guitar he played it for an hour. That tells you a lot. Like all Goodalls the quality is outstanding, beautiful craftsmenship throughout. Don’t miss this one…

Linda Manzer Extreme! For this one, Linda cranked her Manzer wedge up to 11 (or .11 in this case) and built a slim-sided acoustic that’s only 3 5/8” on your leg and 2 1/8” at your arm. This contour makes it incredibly easy to hold. You’ll be surprised at how much projection and clarity Linda’s teased out of the reduced air chamber of the body. The response is quick and energetic, and the trebles have extra sizzle. This 2003 Manzer would also hold up handsomely in a recording session.

Indian Rosewood and German Spruce, B-Band Dual Source pickup, super comfy Manzer Wedge—the perfect guitar for someone who needs big tone to come in a smaller package.

This is an all-Koa Claxton Malabar. The Malabar is a small body, 13 Fret guitar with a sweet voice. Ed Claxton always achieves a lovely, balance and clarity in his instruments. This one, in all-Koa, has a strong projection and lovely sparkle on the high end, yet it’s rich and sonorous. This is a great fingerstyle guitar and the figure and color of the Koa wood is sumptuous.

Rich Mermer crafts fine guitars using premium woods and a lot of imagination. This Autumn Star 13 is a beautiful instrument crafted from Cocobolo Rosewood and curly Redwood. Rich then added rare Snakewood trim and bridge to complete the statement of this unique guitar.

The voice is lush and full with a wonderful character that sets it apart for other guitars. If you are seeking something completely unique and wonderful this may be your guitar.

What an awesome player 1929 Martin 00-18. The Mahogany and Adirondack body makes for that classic Martin 00 tone, robust and energetic with a great growl! This pre-war Martin has several repairs, see condition on the specs tab, but everyone who plays it is delighted. It’s the real-deal Martin voice at a player price. Don’t miss it, this won’t last.

Here is a custom Brazilian Rosewood Howell and Forsyth SP Parlor Guitar. This 13 fret parlor is topped with Adirondack Spruce for that prewar tone. It is lightly built and definitely offers a true vintage tone and feel. The playability is splendid and the fit and finish is superb. This extremely comfortable to hold Parlor will make a perfect couch guitar or songwriter’s friend. It is also small enough to travel with easily as well.

This is a 2009 Bozung J Slope Shouldered Dreadnought guitar. Chris Bozung also known as CB Guitars is based outside of Nashville, TN and his guitars have long been popular with the gun slingers in that area of the country. This custom J is a stunning work of art made of Brazilian Rosewood and Adirondack Spruce for that classic prewar tone. The deep, dark 1930s inspired sunburst is stunning and befits the character of this guitar. This one is a powerhouse, just listen to the video and see how it projects and fills the room.

Every once in a while a unique instrument is put in our hands that is pure fun! This Indian Hill Tenor guitar has us grinning from ear to ear. Tenor guitars have been around for a long time, but became less popular when the 6 string spread across the world. But with a short scale, light strings and a it’s powerful bell-like voice the Tenor guitar offers a lot of color to the modern guitarists. It’s very easy to play and can be tuned several ways from it’s typical CGDA to ‘Octave Mano tuning’-GDAE to ‘guitar tuning’-DGBE. This beauty is crafted from Indian Rosewood and Zebrawood. Michale Kennedy blended the two woods very artistically starting with the headplate, continuing to the 3 piece back and finishing at the lovely custom tail wedge. Zebrawood was also entwined in the rosette and top perfling giving this Tenor guitar a stunning and natural beauty all it’s own.

This is Mark Blanchard’s smaller body Sugar Pine model. It is a 12 Fret 000 size guitar perfect for fingerstyle music. The back and sides are Honduran Rosewood, cherished for it’s warmth and clarity. The top is Engelmann, which adds articulation and beautiful overtones. This is a great size guitar that is comfortable to hold for long periods, and you’ll want to do so because the sound is inspiring.
