1992 Klein Electric, Bubinga
This 1992 Klein Electric is an experience, such that it proves difficult to keep one’s head while playing. Pun intended. Fully loaded with Alembic Activator pickups– In the HSS configuration. A full tonal palate that leaves one wanting nothing else. Alongside the Steinberger TransTrem System, this instrument is ready to give anything you ask of it. This solid body guitar is constructed of Bubinga, and its heft doesn’t lie solely in its timbre, however, the ergonomic design of Klein’s electric guitars provides this guitar with a sense of stability not often felt in electric guitars. Very much a, “Look Ma! No Hands!” scenario. This guitar is nearly effortless to play. To top it all off, we are selling this guitar for guitarist, composer and fearless improvisor–Henry Kaiser. Which if you’re familiar with his work, the lively pickguard should come as no surprise.

We’ve long admired the work Bill Asher has done for Ben Harper and other top players. This is a custom one-off UltraTone SC Deluxe Edition with a highly figured Flamed Koa top stained to a beautiful golden brown patina. Bill outfitted it with his Steel-Bucker pickups for a strong voice and gave it versatile wiring with a 16 position Vari-Tone swtich. Add to Compare2011 DeTemple Spirit Series ’56, Swamp Ash
Mike DeTemple’s work speaks for itself, but we’ll try and offer our two cents. The Spirit Series ’56 is Mike’s take on the classic strat shape—with a few choice additions which make them another beast. For starters, Mike uses titanium components, from the neck plate to the tremolo, and here upgraded this piece from 2011 with a Fossilized Mastodon Ivory nut (and pickup switch tip), open back Gotoh 510 tuners, and a Red Maple neck. And the cherry on top: Mike’s bespoke, handwound Sweet Spot S2 pickups. Mike works his magic such that the signal is even and clear across all five positions, so you don’t have to worry about compensating on the fly. They play like grass-fed butter: top shelf fat n juicy.
