This D-45 Marquis is the Indian Rosewood version of the D-45 Golden Era Dreadnought styled after the 1937 D-45. It features an Adirondack spruce top with scalloped Adirondack braces, forward shifted X, select East Indian rosewood back & sides (with linen reinforcing strips), ivoroid binding, highly colored abalone trim around back, sides & top – including fingerboard extension, abalone rosette, old style 45 back strip, modified V-shape neck (25.4″ scale, 1 3/4″ nut, 2 5/16″ string spacing at bridge), bound ebony fretboard with Golden Era 45-style snowflake inlays & tortoise side dots, tapered & squared bound headstock with C.F.Martin block letter inlay, fossil ivory nut & long saddle, fossil ivory bridge & endpins with black pearl dots, vintage toner finish, tortoise pickguard, Waverly gold vintage style gears, inside label signed by C.F.Martin I V. Introduced at the NAMM show in 2000 the 00-16DBFM is a notable instruments in Martin’s special edition guitars. It is the fifth instrument in their Women In Music Series guitars. The 00-16DBFM features flamed maple back and sides, a solid Sitka spruce soundboard, natural mahogany top and back bindings, black ebony fingerboard and bridge, a V-matched maple neck, and slotted headstock. Designed with a slimmer neck to suit a player with smaller hands and to offer the full, rich Martin tone we are all accustomed to. This one, #76, is dead mint and they made very few, making a unique collectible as well as a great playing guitar.

This has been a very popular model for Martin. The vintage styling and forward-shifted scalloped braces make it sound like an older guitar and the vintage toner with the herringbone trim give it those vintage looks. This one was ordered from the custom shop with a wider string spacing at 2 1/4″ and a wider nut width at 1 3/4 in. It’s perfect for fingerstyle or flatpicking.

The forward-shifted scalloped top braces, diamond neck volute, and tapered headstock enhance the vintage character of the Keb Mo Signature guitar. A low profile neck with wide ebony fingerboard, 1 3/4” inches at the nut, and jumbo frets makes it perfect for fingerstyle or flatpicking. Both the nut and compensated saddle are crafted from genuine bone. Keb’ Mo’s signature is inlaid between the 19th and 20th frets and the label is personally signed by Keb’ Mo’ and Martin Chairman and CEO, C. F. Martin IV. These guitars are so good that you can’t find them used very often. This is your chance to get one that’s in mint condition.

Forget that Martin no longer offers Brazilian Rosewood, forget Jim Croce’s signature, Forget the cool Dime Inlay, this guitar just sounds awesome! It’s one of the best sounding rosewood Dreads we’ve ever heard regardless of model. It’s extremely lively with great projection and the sound it throws across the room is complex and complete. Chimey highs and deep, rich bass notes abound. By the way we love Jim Croce and this guitar is a great tribute!

Here’s a custom shop Martin OM-28 complete with cutaway, sunburst and Fishman pickup system. This was built to order for a pro player and it’s a great one. The sunburst is gorgeous and give this guitar it’s rich, traditional flare. The cutaway grants full access to the dusty end of the fingerboard and it’s complete with a Fishman pickup and preamp so it’s ready for the road.
