We are huge fans of Bruce Petros and son Matt’s sound and craftsmanship and asked them to be a part of the fine Dream Series we are now offering. We selected premium, old-growth Brazilian Rosewood and all wooden appointments to create a Petros like no other. This guitar is simply stunning in an understated and elegant manner and has a very open, modern fingerstyle voice and plays with ease.

2002 Petros Applecreek FS Ebony/Adirondack Spruce

2004 Petros Applecreek FS Ebony/Red
This is a uniquely powerful Petros FS guitar thanks to the combination of Ebony and Adirondack Red Spruce. The result is a small body charm with power to spare which makes this FS perfect for Fingerstyle in many genres and also Flatpicking and lead work. 2000 Petros Apple Creek FS Indian/Sitka
Bruce Petros’ FS design incorporates a pre-stressed arched top for added clarity and strong trebles. The top is also graduated to produce a rounder bass tone. This particular guitar has lovely appointments including a rope style perfling, bound headstock and tortoise style pickguard. The sound is awe inspiring, clear, shimmering and perfectly balanced.

1971 Pimentel Concert #1 Brazilian/Cedar
An incredible 1971 Pimentel Concert #1 guitar featuring a gorgeous set of Brazilian Rosewood along with a Red Cedar top. The voice is warm, rich and sentimental. Signed on back of headstock “Pimintel ’71 New Mexico U.S.A.” The highly figured Brazilian headplate and bridge add an exotic touch to this already beautiful instrument. New Plazuelo Bouchet Indian/Spruce
Jose Marin Plazuelo has shared a shop space with his uncle, Antonio Marin Montero, since he began building guitars in his youth. Between the two of them, they have produced a number of astoundingly responsive and resonant classicals, and this Bouchet model with Indian Rosewood back and sides and a Spruce top is a fine example of Plazuelo’s mastery of the craft, even compared to his uncle’s own masterworks.The voice is warm and sweet, with a delicate responsiveness that plays beautifully in adagio but doesn’t top out easily in crescendo. Instead, the Bouchet projects fiercely, with great sustain. Set up like silk, the neck is effortless to fret, and the lightweight build is exceedingly comfortable to play.With an easy muscularity and playful expressiveness, this is a powerful example of traditional classical guitar construction at its finest.

2023 Pogreba Blue Resonator, Aluminum
Good looking, easy on the ears, comfortable in hand–our 2023 Porgreba Resonator is a delight on all counts. Larry’s freewheeling design is rendered here with a striking blue aesthetic, wide fingerboard, and his classic hubcap resonator cover. The voice is smooth, smooth, smooth, with lots of sweet treble overtones.

Is it an Oldsmobile? A piece of art? Or a resophonic guitar? Well, it’s all of those things and more! The latest from the workshop of Larry Pogreba, and it’s, well, very blue.
