How do you describe RainSong’s JM? Three words: loud, loud, and loud. And if that’s not enough, it’s also loud. This is the largest body RainSong builds which is ideally suited to the new Baritone model. The sheer size, combined with the attributes of Projection Tuned Layering provides a deep. low end rumble that can go from quit to loud at will. Yet the JM Baritone has a narrow waist making it way more comfortable to play than one might think.
RainSong’s Projection Tuned Layering technique tunes the tone without the need for soundboard braces. Abalone rosette. All-graphite body. No body braces. All-graphite neck and epoxy fingerboard fabricated using RainSong’s Performance Shape Casting as a single piece with adjustable truss rod. Custom Mother of Pearl sharks. Tusq Nut, saddle. Abalone inlaid Tusq bridgepins. Customized hardshell case. UV protective, high-gloss, clear urethane finish.

Brand New Rainsong CO-WS3000 12-String, Carbon Fiber, Concert Series
The Concert Series is all about Warm Tone. These are the lightest soundboards built by RainSong using unidirectional carbon. Unidirectional carbon mimics the tight grain of a fine spruce soundboard. Thus, it is not surprising that this line produces a warmer tone.
The RainSong CO-WS3000 12-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar combines the large-sized sound chamber with lightweight carbon-fiber/spruce construction to deliver extra-loud and deep tone that superbly counterbalances the extra treble strings. This is a 12-string guitar that is great for strumming and finger style, full of power and delicacy, and ready to hit the road. The RainSong CO-WS3000 12-string acoustic-electric guitar is able to stay in tune at concert pitch and to withstand temperature and humidity variations; qualities that every seasoned 12-string player has long pined for.

The Parlor body combines the traditional compact shape with a modern Venetian cutaway for a perfectly proportioned intimate guitar with excellent access to the upper frets. The Vintage Series embodies understated elegance. The traditional aesthetics of a spruce top fused with a robust unidirectional carbon soundboard is finished with an amber tint and supplemented with simple appointments.
The Dreadnought is the traditional workhorse of acoustic guitar music. With a large, deep body and wide waist, RainSong’s DR has the powerful bass and ringing treble of a great rhythmic guitar, but still maintains a wonderfully balanced sound, with clear distinction among individual notes. From rhythm to lead, the DR makes its presence known. Capable of cutting through admirably in any acoustic setting, the DR is loud enough to compete with banjoes, mandolins and other traditional volume hogs.

Brand New Ramin C-Stage Classical, Amazon Rosewood/European Spruce
Here we’ve landed a brand new C-Stage classical from Istanbul’s Ramin Fallah, dressed up with premium tonewoods and some fresh aesthetics to envigorate the classical format. Amazon Rosewood back and sides pair up with a European Spruce top that features lots of dramatic bearclaw figuring and is french polished for maximum resonance. The body is finished elsewhere with poly for added durability. 650mm scale plus a 52mm nut will feel right at home, and at the headstock we find a understated geometric motif inlaid into the Wenge headplate that adds a touch of modernity that we find quite refreshing. Additionally, Ramin has installed his take on a soundport at the bass side upper bout, a feature that aids the player in hearing their tone.

Better with age. And this 1978 Ramirez 1a is proof. Brazilian Rosewood body with Cedar on top, the classic Ramirez full neck profile and 663mm scale, and wide open after a few decades’ work. Weighing in under four pounds, this Ramirez feels light and lovely in hand.

These Ramirez 1As from the 70s are hot tickets! And we’ve got front row seats with a well preserved number from 1975 here today. Cedar over Rosewood with a meaty neck profile that feels solid in hand; weighs in below four pounds; even comes wrapped up in the original case. The voice has blossomed handsomely since ’75, and today it’s loud, clear, and delightfully dynamic.

1974 Ramirez 2A, Brazilian Rosewood/Cedar
Early to mid ‘70s Ramirez guitars are coveted for their richness, clarity, and reliability, and we’ve landed a perfect example of that with this 1974 2A in Brazilian Rosewood and Cedar. What a beauty! The back set features some gorgeous and dramatic figure, and pairs up nicely with the Red Cedar top to a sharp-dressed player with tone to match. Setup and playability are smooth as silk, and we’re happy to give this one a clean bill of health with only a few light marks in spite of its decades of music making. The Spanish Cedar neck has the chunkier neck profile that we associate with Ramirez of this era, and feels great in hand. Comes wrapped up safe and sound in a Humicase Metro case.

This Ramirez SPR in East Indian Rosewood and Cedar is stunning with its timeless good looks and timeless tone. The full on Spanish feel, look, and tone is at play here, it wouldn’t be hard to imagine at that Andres Segovia himself would have chosen this guitar. Tonally this Ramirez packs a punch and with its woody warmth and clarity this instrument is a dead ringer for a concertizer. Playability and feel are top notch as well, the action is smooth and fast and the instrument itself sits nicely on the lap.

1974 Ramirez 2A, Brazilian Rosewood/Cedar
An exceptional guitar. We just took in a 1974 Ramirez 2A in Brazilian Rosewood and Cedar with some powerful provenance. Played and initialed by the venerable master, Christopher Parkening, this Ramirez has been extensively played in and has an exquisitely opened up and responsive voice. Power and sustain with the 664mm scale; the proprietary Ramirez lacquer finish is in great shape; and this 2A comes with the original case. The generous Ramirez neck profile feels full and comfortable in hand, and the setup is butter smooth. The condition is great. There are the usual marks and fret wear of a guitar that’s been lovingly played for decades, but overall this 1974 Ramirez 2A is a well preserved example.

Our latest charity auction pairs a gorgeous Ramirez R4 with Kids In Distress (KID), an organization which provides support for at-risk children in a myriad of forms across America. From adoption services and foster care to free preschool education, dental services, and counseling, KID does incredible work helping our youth who can’t help themselves. This Ramirez R4 is in incredible shape, and is an industry standard for classical guitars.
