2004 Tacchi Coclea Thucea Indian/Red Cedar/Spruce/Red Cedar, 3-piece
This Tacchi Coclea Thucia is the sort of instrument that inspired the concept behind Dream Guitars. It is an instrument that stands far above the many instruments in the world and offers something very unique and special. Tacchi developed the 3 piece top combining Cedar outer boards with Alpine Spruce in the center after hearing a Torres model with softer spruce surrounding stiffer spruce. This design makes for trebles that ‘ring like a bell’ says Tacchi and we can confirm that. Rarely have we heard such clear and present treble strings on a nylon guitar. The purity of note is outstanding. Rodgers Tuners and an Accord Case compliment this worldclass Tacchi guitar.

2021 Taran Tirga Beag, African Blackwood/Italian Spruce
2021 Taran Tirga Beag, made for our very own Dustin Furlow for the Young Player Bursary. This beast of an instrument features back and sides of African Blackwood, fully kerfed side construction in Western Red Cedar with Bocote veneers, and Taran Guitars’ signature compression back brace. The top is crafted from Italian Spruce, with a rosette of hot sand-faded Scottish Burr Elm accented by rippled Sycamore detailing, all bound in African Blackwood.
The neck is made of Wenge, shaped with an equal taper Medium C profile. It features EVO frets and Gotoh tuners. Notably, this guitar boasts both a soundport and an arm bevel made from hot sand-faded Scottish Elm.
This instrument is equipped with a Modified K&K Trinity pickup system. The microphone is a DPA 4061 Low-Sensitivity Omni Lavalier Microphone, running off the same phantom specs as the original K&K Trinity, ensuring excellent amplification for both studio and live performances.
This guitar is a shining example of what Rory and the team are crafting in Scotland. It possesses a mystique and power that are, quite frankly, hard to put into words—reminiscent of some magical artifact from an Arthurian tale. But don’t take our word for it—let the demo speak for itself. Cheers!

2019 Taran DS5, Macassar Ebony/Master Grade Swiss Moon Spruce
2019 Taran DS5 in Macassar Ebony and Swiss Moonspruce. DS stands for “Dowling Signature,” and you can feel the care and intention put into this build. Five years old at the time of publication, you can sense the sonic maturation of the guitar, which likely sounded lively right from the start. With semi-hemispherical EVO frets, a deconstructed rosette, and a microbevel, this guitar is stunning. It feels great and sounds even better. From the fit to the finish, this guitar is a masterpiece. 2018 Taran Tirga Mhor, Swartsa Wamara/European Spruce
This 2018 Taran Tirga Mhor features European Spruce on top and a very new-to-us back and sides made of Swartsa Wamara, which is as gorgeous visually as it is sonically. The Tirga Mhor is Rory Dowling’s take on a 000 design. Named after a Scottish mountain, it has 12 frets to the body with Evo frets and semi-hemispherical ends. It’s fitted with a multiscale setup of 26″ on the bass and 25.5″ on the treble extremities. A Wenge neck with a perfectly soft V profile and a sound port offer an exquisite view inside the guitar, showcasing Taran Guitars’ special construction. This guitar is also stage or studio-ready with a K&K Trinity Pickup system, allowing you to recreate the magic you hear in your lap on stage or in recordings. This guitar is so much fun and so refreshing. We have become huge fans of Taran Guitars here at the shop, and we can’t wait to see even more from them.

A rare and distinctive voice in the Taylor lineup, the Kenny Loggins Signature Model stands tall with an all-Koa body on the Jumbo frame—bold, beautiful, and built to sing. This 2000 example has opened up sweetly over the years, with a quick, vibrant top end and plenty of power and projection across the board. Delicate wood inlays of flowers and a sailboat grace the fingerboard and headstock, adding an artistic flourish to an already striking instrument. Outfitted with a Fishman Matrix pickup system, it’s stage-ready and wide awake.

2000 Taylor Kenny Loggins Signature, All Koa
The Kenny Loggins signature model is a special one in Taylor’s stable–this beauty is all Koa on a Jumbo frame, plus wood inlays of flowers and sailboat at the fingerboard and headstock. Lots of power and projection, and the trebles are particularly quick and vibrant. This example has been upfitted with a Fishman Matrix pickup system as well. Opened up sweetly since 2000, this Taylor KLSM is wiiide awake.

2001 Taylor “Living Jewels,” Maple/Spruce Like Taylor Swift’s
From 2001, we have a very rare and now iconic Taylor “Gallery Series Living Jewels” Dreadnought. It features Big Leaf Quilted Maple for the back and sides, and Bearclaw Spruce on top. Aside from its obvious beauty, this guitar is unique—#97 of 100. Not to be coy (pun intended), it’s also famous. This model has been used occasionally by the one and only Taylor Swift. The Gallery Series inlay art is based on the works of Pete Davies Jr., who worked at Taylor Guitars with his parents. The series had two other variations: one with sea turtles and another with Gray Whales. This particular Koi variety is the model Miss Swift is renowned for rocking out with. This guitar is ornate and intricately detailed. The chatoyant qualities of the timbers take on new meaning, considering the Koi fish inhabiting the fingerboard and rosette.

Taylor’s Presentation Series never fail to disappoint. Check out this 2013 PS14ce for a prime example of that: sharp fit and finish, premium tonewoods, and an extensive Abalone inlay scheme along the fingerboard. Back and sides are Cocobolo, with Sitka Spruce on top that’s treated to a subtle arm bevel on the lower bout for ease of play. The voice has great string energy and balance across the registers, and the Expression pickup system sounds fantastic.

This 2003 Taylor DDSM Doyle Dykes is designed for the amplified stage, and also packs a punch acoustically with its thin Grand Auditorium body and slick playability. The onboard L.R. Baggs preamp and pickup system sounds excellent! Figured Maple back and sides with Sitka Spruce top, rose inlaid at the headstock, and Chet-style MOP position markers.

2015 Taylor 814CE, Brazilian Rosewood/Sitka Spruce
Soup up Taylor’s 814ce body with Brazilian Rosewood and Sitka Spruce? Yes, please! The use of such night-dark Brazilian Rosewood makes for added glass and bass response, separating this one from many other Taylors that have come through our shop without sacrificing any of the top end sparkle. Maple bindings throughout, Taylor’s Expression II pickup system with onboard EQ, and a striped wood pickguard to contrast the pale Spruce top.
