This 2003 Ryan Nightingale Grand Soloist is one of those few instruments which, from aesthetics to tone, pulls something out of the player that they didn’t know they had. Providing a rich, full-figured presence from the bass strings to your arrangements, and pairing that with treble overtones like bells, this Indian Rosewood and Sitka Spruce Nightingale has the ability to transform the simple into the grand, and the epic into the elegant. Played in lowered tunings, you can feel the pulse of the low end thick in your gut, but the setup is so glass-smooth that the experience of playing this Ryan is an excercise in effortlessness. 2003 Ryan Grand Cathedral Fingerstyle Cocobolo/Sitka

2004 Ryan Mission Grand Concert East Indian/Caspian
Looking for a Kevin Ryan guitar, but unable to foot the bill for a new one? Try out this 2004 Mission Grand Concert for size! With the classic combination of East Indian Rosewood back and sides and a Caspian Spruce top, this MGC provides the player with a lively mix of bright trebles, rumbling bass, and smooth playability. If you want your guitar to do double duty as a fingerstyle instrument and flatpicking powerhouse, we’re confident that this MGC can more than foot the bill. She responds very well to an aggressive attack, but is lightly built for more nuanced arrangements. 2012 Ryan Cathedral Brazilian/Sinker Redwood
Kevin Ryan got it right when he named this model the Cathedral Grand Fingerstyle: playing this guitar is a kind of religious experience. The way in which its Sinker Redwood top and wavily grained Brazilian Rosewood back and sides combine, there’s no question as to the guitar’s voice. Its got the kind of voice that supercharges any tune. The kind of tone that puts other guitars to shame: if its voice was a color, it’d be the darkest, richest purple you’d ever seen. In a word, the tonal palette is regal. The sustain that pours out of this large-bodied guitar is deep and powerful, with the subtle addition of sweet overtones in the middle and upper registers that fill out the sound. This is a guitar which excels in dropped tunings, thanks to its 25 3/4″ scale length, but still has mids and highs with lots of headroom. A number of Ryan trademark features help contribute to this excellent articulation, from the “EO” (Engineered Openings) bracing, with its selectively honeycombed braces, to the use of super lightweight titanium bridge pins and Ryan’s arm bevel “flutes,” which also serve as miniature soundports to deliver this instrument’s incredible voice straight to the player. Add to that Ryan’s surgically precise tiger inlay on the fretboard and “Micro Pearl” trim, with its alternating MOP-Abalone-MOP pattern, and the result is an instrument which is awe-inspiring not only for its tone, but for its appearance as well. The Cathedral Grand Fingerstyle is just that: a guitar designed specifically for fingerstylists. 2004 Ryan Cathedral Brazilian/European
Kevin Ryan makes some of the biggest, baddest fingerstyle guitars on the planet. With his engineering background and his artist’s eye and ear, Kevin achieves instruments that have remarkable precision and sustain with an absolutely gorgeous aesthetic and sound. This guitar, the Cathedral Grand Fingerstyle, is the largest ship in his armada. It has an enormous presence and fulness about the voice, requiring little energy from the player to put out large amounts of volume owing to the time tested pairing of Brazilian Rosewood and European Spruce. With its breadth and depth of tone and body, it takes especially well to lower and alternate tunings. Add to that a Florentine cutaway for extra reach and the smooth, legendary “Ryan” arm bevel, this one is surprisingly comfortable to play – that is, assuming you’ll take the time to pry your eyes off of the gorgeous green abalone border and physics-defying figured back. 2003 Ryan Nightingale Soloist Brazilian/Alpine Amy White’s Personal Guitar!
This Nightingale Solist by Kevin Ryan is an absolute knock out. The Brazilian Rosewood Kevin used for the back and sides is stunningly figured and the Alpine spruce top is super tightly grained with great silking, so you know it came from a hand-split billet. Tonally this guitar hits all the right spots: The Brazilian and Alpine Spruce give this guitar a great bottom end with a slight reverb quality, while the trebles remain full and present. It’s a fingerpickers dream, with a perfectly balanced voice and ideal neck profile, but really loves the pick as well!

This 2011 Nightingale Grand Soloist from Kevin Ryan is a perfect example of the impeccable craftsmanship and heavenly tone that we’ve come to expect in his guitars. Gorgeous Cocobolo Rosewood are an excellent compliment to the stunningly silky Engelmann Spruce used for the top, and the combo rewards us with an instrument of tremendous depth and articulation. 2002 Ryan Nightingale Soloist Koa/Red Cedar
This is a gorgeous Figured Koa and Red Cedar Ryan Nightingale. This is a great combination of tonewoods, Koa is strong, bright and punchy while Cedar is rich, warm and full sounding. Together they give this guitar a voice that is powerful and lush and makes it a great choice for many varieties of music. Like all Ryans it excels at Fingerstyle music but this one also strums beautifully with a warm and sparkling chime. The Cocobolo Armrest Bevel and bindings perfectly frame out the Koa body and accent the red hues in the Cedar top. There is a cutaway, bound headstock and Cocobolo backplate as well. Comes with a Calton Deluxe Flight Case!
2000 Ryan Mission Grand Concert Brazilian/Sitka
Here’s a Brazilian Rosewood Mission Grand Concert from award winning luthier Kevin Ryan. With it’s mature Spruce top it has a voice that is angelic and pure. Notes leap out of this guitar with great volume and lovely overtones. This is elegant GC from Kevin Ryan as well, appointed with an Abalone top border, rosette and backstrip. Well played but well cared for this is a Ryan guitar that is better than new for it’s voice has reached it’s full potential and it is something special.

Here we have a wonderful Kevin Ryan Nightingale Grand Soloist that has been a musical mate for recording artist Steve Baughman since 2003. It features a gorgeous Brazilian Rosewood and Sitka Spruce body with an Armrest Bevel and venetian cutaway. This guitar is great proof of how good Sitka Spruce can be as it has had a ton of great music pumped through it to bring to it’s full potential. But don’t worry I asked Steve and he said he left some good notes in there. Don’t miss a rare preowned Ryan Nightingale, especially this one…
