Forget that Martin no longer offers Brazilian Rosewood, forget Jim Croce’s signature, Forget the cool Dime Inlay, this guitar just sounds awesome! It’s one of the best sounding rosewood Dreads we’ve ever heard regardless of model. It’s extremely lively with great projection and the sound it throws across the room is complex and complete. Chimey highs and deep, rich bass notes abound. By the way we love Jim Croce and this guitar is a great tribute!

This, folks, is what honest play wear looks like. Makes you proud to call yourself a musician. We’re looking at a 1937 Martin 000-18 which has been resurrected by our very own repair staff, returned to the pristine playing condition as the barn dance guitar of its youth! The previous owner confided with us that her family used this 000-18 for local barn dances for much of the first decades of its life.
If there’s a some play wear and pick marks, you know they were well-earned in the line of duty. Naturally, she’s completely opened up! The Mahogany and Spruce body lends a dry, woody tone to the voice, and man oh man can she belt it out when you dig in; at just over three pounds, this 000-18 has magnificent projection. Flatpicks or fingers, you’ll get the same snappy response. The neck profile is a soft V that’s a bit more rounded out than our 1931 OM-18, but feels just as intimate. Years and years of left hands have worn the neck to a satin-smooth sheen. Now, freshly restored, this 000-18 has a long llife behind it, and a long life yet to go.

Indian Rosewood body with Spruce top, 650mm scale, and the aforementioned cutaway for easy access to the topmost frets. The pickup system combines an L.R.
